Welcome to Applegate Strings!
[ Our Philosophy ]
Music is an art form that requires such a unique creative process. At Applegate Strings, our primary goal is to foster that imaginative and wonderful creative space and share it with others
IMAGINATIVE —
At Applegate Strings, our primary goal is to build a string community that fosters all of the kind and amazing musicians in the Rouge Valley! Even if you are not a student, we have a place for you!
COMMUNITY —
In past experiences, I have learned that every student learns differently and it is a goal to make sure that each and every one of my students has an education that is adapted to them and their learning styles!
ADAPTIVE —
Music theory is effective when applied directly to the keys. Rather than rote memorization, this focus bridges the gap between the written score and physical performance, fostering an intuitive understanding of musical structure.
WELCOMING —
[ The Studies ]
The best way to see if we’re a good fit is to spend some time at the piano together. In this 30-minute intro, we’ll talk about the music you love, assess your current level, and see how I can help you reach your goals.
Private sessions offer a comprehensive study of the piano, balancing technical proficiency with a core foundation in music theory. Each lesson is tailored to the student's level to ensure a disciplined yet adaptable approach to the instrument.
Lessons will be held weekly at a designated time.
Group sessions offer a collaborative environment combining shared theory with individual technical growth. The curriculum encourages peer interaction through a disciplined, structured approach to the piano.
Lessons will be held weekly at a designated time.
[ About Rosalee ]
Rosalee Wirfs is a dedicated string teacher who inspires her students to express themselves through their creativity and imagination. Rosalee started violin at the age of ten, after she decided that she would play it at a school assembly showing off the different instruments offered for the orchestra. Ever since she can remember, Rosalee has wanted to teach and build a community of outstanding musicians that are brought together by their abounding love for music. Rosalee is attending Southern Oregon University and plans to graduate in December 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in music.
